Propanediol is a 100% natural, environmentally sustainable, petroleum-free solvent that has excellent moisturizing properties and serves as a successful replacement for glycerin without reducing the level of hydration it provides. This solvent has unique characteristics that make it non-irritating to the skin, while providing excellent hydration at a concentration of 5%, as well as at a concentration of 20%.

Propanediol combined with glycerin can produce a formulation that feels extremely moisturizing on the skin. This is a solvent suitable for use in all types of skin and hair care products, for babies and children, for tanning and for decorative cosmetics.
