Friday in our Formulation Week brings something special; a serum that goes a step beyond the basic formulations we’ve been working on so far this week.
We combine betaine, ectoine and two sizes of hyaluronic acid, creating a texture that is sophisticated, stable and highly effective.
This is a serum for all of you who want to learn further, build knowledge, and elevate your formulating skills.
Don’t worry, even though it’s more advanced, if you’ve followed the previous labs, it will be completely doable for you.
Why is this serum special?
- Betaine is an intelligent osmo-regulator that helps the skin retain water, reduces transepidermal water loss, provides softness and instantly improves the feel of the skin.
It is perfect for sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin, which makes it ideal for winter. - Ectoin – skin protection at the highest level; one of the most powerful protective osmolytics, protects the skin from stress, cold, drying out and external influences.
It creates a “shield” at the micro level and makes the serum extremely modern and potent. - Two sizes of hyaluronic acid
We combine:
high molecular HA: surface effect, immediate hydration, smoother skin
low molecular weight HA: deeper penetration, longer lasting effect, elasticity
This synergy gives the “glass skin” effect – fuller, softer, nourished skin.
