Care and summer pleasure in one
In this summer edition of the Formulation Laboratory, we are creating a product that combines the pleasure of care and support for the skin during sunbathing – a rich, yet meltable butter for accelerated tanning, formulated based on natural vegetable butters and oils with the addition of ingredients that nourish and preserve the elasticity of the skin.
We will learn:
- how to formulate butter that spreads easily but doesn’t melt in the sun
- Which vegetable butters and oils are suitable for accelerated tanning?
- how to combine antioxidants (carotenoids) to protect against oxidative stress
- Does this butter have SPF?
We will use:
- Shea butter – for elasticity and protection
- Carrot and urukum oil – for natural glow and antioxidant support
- Betacarotene and apricot oil – for care and prevention of dryness
