This time I am addressing women in particular, because October is the month dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Preventive examinations, self-examinations, ultrasounds and mammograms are crucial, but we often forget about the period of life that precedes the recommendation for these examinations. What were we doing up until then, where were we and, more precisely, what did we eat, what did we store food in, how did we prepare it, what did we use to nourish our bodies?
Of course, we can’t control every detail of our environment – from the food we eat to the air we breathe – but there are many things we can and should influence.

My specialty is cosmetics, so I’ll remind you again about the importance of reading ingredients. Not only is it important for you, the reader, to pay attention to the ingredients in your products, but it’s also your responsibility to educate your friends and colleagues about this topic.
Last month we held an education session on reading and understanding the ingredients of cosmetics , and during a live broadcast with Biljkoljupka we talked about deodorants. Think about how many times you’ve applied deodorant to your armpits. Do you know what’s there? Axillary lymph nodes, which are a biological filter for foreign particles and play a key role in the immune system.
I urge you to find a deodorant that is as natural as possible and thus help your body reduce the intake of harmful substances. Also think about the daily cosmetic products you use – morning face wash, cream, make-up, shower gel, body cream, toothpaste, shampoo, lipstick, gloss, mascara… In the evening, wash again, cleanse, cream, serum, hand cream.
Cosmetic products often contain parabens and phenoxyethanol as preservatives. Dear women, read the ingredients of the products you use! Skip the ones with parabens, as there are studies that suggest a possible link between parabens and breast cancer. It’s the least you can do for your health and the health of the women around you.

In the attached video, I show you two interesting formulations – a hand dishwashing liquid and a laundry detergent – that you can make very easily and inexpensively at home, while avoiding many harmful chemicals.
In the next newsletter, I bring you simple recipes for natural deodorant.
Take care and take care of yourself!
❤️ Mirela.
