Instant relief for sensitive skin
Heteractis crispa is an anemone that inhabits tropical and subtropical seas. At the ends of its tentacles there are cells that contain poison that serves both as a defense and for hunting prey. In the venom, scientists discovered a small interesting protein APHC1 , which represents the first inhibitory protein of the TRPV1 receptor , responsible for the reactions of sensitive skin.

Environmental influences can certainly lead to unpleasant skin conditions, and skin hypersensitivity is an increasingly common problem in women and men. The most common external factors are smog, airborne allergens, cigarette smoke, UV rays, temperature, cold, wind, air conditioning, but of course other everyday factors such as food, medications, stress, inadequate cosmetic care, hormonal imbalance, etc.
How does hypersensitive skin react? The most common reactions occur on the face; such as redness, dilation of blood vessels, burning, stinging, itching, and sometimes discomfort. All this causes an incorrect response of the nervous system in the skin and neurosensory disorder. This is precisely why the TRPV1 pain receptor is active in such situations, which, with constant exposure of the skin to the sun and high temperatures, can lead to the destruction of collagen and photo-aging of the skin.
Neurocosmetics connects the skin and the brain
The skin is the link between the outside world and our brain. Let’s not forget that the skin houses major systems such as the circulatory system and the muscular system, making the skin extremely important for the body’s homeostasis.
It is precisely SensAmone P5, thanks to the properties of the neurotoxin from the sea anemone, that can affect sensory endings and actively affect the sensation of itching and burning, because it blocks TRPV1 receptors, thereby reducing irritation, redness, burning and bringing relief to the skin. Since the natural protein from the venom itself is very unstable, it is encapsulated in a delicate sphere of shea butter, and thus penetrates the skin much faster and easier.
How does it work?
- Reduces activation of TRPV1 receptors
- Soothes sensitive skin
- Minimizes the skin’s response to stress (of any origin)
- Reduces the feeling of itching
Where do we use it?
- For sensitive skin care products
- Neurocosmetics
Concentration : 1-2%
For cold processes, dissolve SensAmone P5 in the water phase, and for hot/cold processes, add below 40°C. Short-term exposure to higher temperatures will not affect stability.
