INCI: Sodium Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer & Isohexadecane & Polysorbate 80
Simulgel EG is a multifunctional pre-neutralized polymer, which has an excellent sensory profile – it provides gentle and light formulations, gel-creams and non-sticky gels.
Its simplicity stands out in its ability to operate in a very wide pH range (5.5-12), and it is also compatible with various solvents.
The great thing is that you can work with it cold, so you save energy, and the mixing, or emulsification process itself, does not require homogenizers or high mixing speeds.
Ways to formulate:
- Adding polymer to the oil phase, mixing, and adding the water phase
- Making an aqueous gel, then adding the oil phase
- Adding polymers during the emulsification process
Its simplicity stands out in its ability to operate in a very wide pH range (5.5-12), and it is also compatible with various solvents.
Whichever variant you choose, by adding water, in just a few seconds the polymer creates a crystal lattice, or gel, which penetrates the skin very quickly, leaving it soft and without a greasy feeling on the skin.
It is compatible with almost all active cosmetic components, silicones and chemical UV filters, and can emulsify up to 40% of the oil phase.
This type of polymer reduces production costs, because you can do the entire process cold, and there is no problem with adding thermosensitive active components.
Dosage:
- As a stabilizer 0.5-2%
- As a stand-alone emulsifier 1-5%
