Substitute for lanolin – SOFTISAN 649
Lanolin is a natural ingredient that comes with several interesting and useful properties for use in personal care. However, lanolin is a product of animal origin, with a very characteristic sometimes unpleasant smell, intense color and constant discussions about potential allergic reactions. We must not exclude contamination with pesticide residues and, last but not least, the ever-increasing price. Which led to a greater demand for a suitable replacement.
Softisan 649 is a vegan alternative to lanolin, completely free of impurities that can cause skin reactions, provides the creation of a protective film on the skin in numerous types of formulations.
INCI: Bis-Diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2
A semi-solid humectant used as a substitute for lanolin. It is valued for its high water-binding properties and excellent adhesion to the skin. It is found in cosmetic products such as moisturizers, baby skin care products, lip products such as lip gloss and lipstick, and hair care products.
