Scientific foundations
Society is increasingly striving for longevity without visible signs of aging. Wrinkles are the first signs of aging and become more pronounced over time due to repeated muscle contractions such as talking, laughing, drinking and smoking.
Botulinum BoNT-A injections are used as a dermatological treatment for the temporary smoothing of moderate to severe wrinkles. This treatment blocks the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) by degrading the SNAP-25 protein, thereby preventing the formation of the SNARE complex. As a result, the muscle cannot contract and remains relaxed. However, the effect of these injections lasts for about six months.
Argirelox™ peptide works by modulating muscle contraction by reducing the release of acetylcholine at the synapse. It blocks the entry of calcium ions, which are necessary for the fusion of vesicles with the membrane, thereby prolonging and enhancing the effect of BoNT-A treatment.
Recommended concentration in formulations: 10%
Active peptide content
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: 0.050%
- Pentapeptide-18: 0.025%
Key advantages
- Complementary effect of BoNT-A treatments between applications
Almost 3 times more effective than injections alone
Argirelox™ is an innovative neuropeptide that acts at the synaptic level, reducing the release of neurotransmitters that stimulate muscle contractions. Its effect enhances and prolongs the results of botulinum toxin, allowing for longer-lasting wrinkle reduction.
It is perfect for cosmetic formulations intended for the face, forehead and eye area, especially as a complement to aesthetic treatments!
