Borage oil (Borago officinalis) is obtained by cold pressing borage seeds. The oil, rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), has been traditionally used to treat inflammatory skin conditions, most commonly atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
It is used in combination with other oils (kukui, almond, wild rose) or in creams for the care of dry and very dry skin.
