A precious elixir for skin and hair
Camellia Oil, also known as Camellia Oil or Tsubaki Oil, is one of the most prized vegetable oils in traditional Asian cosmetics. It has been used for centuries in Japan, China and Korea for its nourishing, moisturizing and antioxidant properties. It is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the camellia flower (Camellia japonica, Camellia oleifera, Camellia sinensis or Camellia sasanqua) and due to its light texture it is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy feeling on the skin.
INCI: Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil

Description
Camellia oil is rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins:
- Oleic acid (omega-9) – makes up up to 80% of the composition, provides intense hydration and strengthens the skin’s protective barrier.
- Linoleic acid (omega-6) – helps in skin regeneration and sebum regulation.
- Palmitic acid – naturally present in the skin, strengthens its elasticity.
- Squalane – a natural emollient that protects the skin from drying out.
- Vitamins A, B, C, D and E – powerful antioxidants that help protect the skin from free radicals.
- Phytosterols – help restore the lipid barrier of the skin.
Benefits of camellia oil for skin
- Deep hydration – Thanks to its high oleic acid content, camellia oil penetrates deep into the skin and helps retain moisture. It is ideal for dry, sensitive and mature skin.
- Anti-aging effect – The high content of antioxidants and vitamin E neutralizes free radicals, reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, improves skin elasticity and makes it smooth and supple.
- Strengthening the skin barrier – The oil restores the skin’s natural hydrolipidic layer, protecting it from external influences and preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
- Alleviating redness and irritation – Thanks to its soothing effects, camellia oil is excellent for sensitive and reactive skin, prone to irritation, redness and eczema.
- Non-clogging and lightweight – Although rich in nutrients, camellia oil has a low comedogenic index (does not clog pores), making it suitable for both combination and oily skin.
Benefits of camellia oil for hair
- Deep scalp care – Helps soothe dry and irritated scalp, hydrates and promotes healthy hair growth.
- Strengthens and protects hair – Creates a protective layer on the hair, reduces breakage and protects hair from external aggressors such as UV rays and heat appliances.
- Natural shine and softness – Thanks to its light texture, it absorbs quickly, smoothes hair and gives it a natural, healthy shine.
- Reduction of split ends – Helps repair damaged hair, making it more elastic and resistant to breakage.
How to use camellia oil?
- For the face – Apply a few drops to cleansed facial skin, massage in with light movements, or add to your favorite moisturizer.
- For hair – It can be used as a serum for the ends, a mask before washing the hair or an addition to the conditioner for intensive care.
- For the body – Apply to damp skin after showering for long-lasting hydration.
- For nails and cuticles – Nourishes and strengthens nails, making them more resistant to breakage.
