CARICILINE-ORGANIC is a natural gel obtained from the fruit of the fig tree , which originates from Persia and Asia Minor, but grows throughout the Mediterranean region to the Canary Islands. The fig tree can grow up to 10 meters in height, and is considered one of the first types of fruit that our ancestors cultivated. Fig juice removes warts, and contains the protease enzyme ficin. Fig fruit because it is very rich in sugars and emollient properties.
Skin hydration is related to the barrier function of the stratum corneum, which regulates moisture. Dehydrated skin is more prone to inflammation, loses its plasticity and becomes rough.
The state of skin hydration is determined by the balance of water diffusion through the stratum corneum and its evaporation against the water influx to the skin and its ability to bind to the stratum corneum. Reducing evaporation through the use of polysaccharides allows for limiting transepidermal water loss.
With its composition, CARICILINE-ORGANIC improves the hydration of the upper layers of the skin because it contains pectins (mainly composed of galacturonic acid), free sugars (fructose and glucose) and AHA acids.
