Experiments were conducted to determine the potential of Cosphaderm® Pentiol GL for emulsion stability and it was proven that at a concentration of 5% Cosphaderm® Pentiol GL reduces the particle size by 60%, which leads to increased emulsion stability.

Another basic property of pentylene glycol is its antimicrobial activity.

Cosphaderm® Pentiol GL shows an outstanding synergistic effect in combination with other antimicrobial ingredients, which offers the possibility of minimizing the total amount of combined preservative. It is recommended to combine Pentylene Glycol with other substances to achieve comprehensive antimicrobial protection of your formulation.
