Geogard® 221 is a preservative based on DHA and benzyl alcohol and is therefore recognized by numerous regulatory bodies in charge of supervising the production of cosmetics and perfumes. It is a very versatile, chemically and physically stable preservative that is used in a very wide range of products.
It is used in a pH range of 2 to 7, above 7 its effectiveness may be compromised.
