Geogard Ultra™ is a unique, synergistic combination of gluconolactone and sodium benzoate, which has a very broad spectrum of effectiveness. Organic acids are too weak on their own and generally require an additional preservative to work optimally. In this combination, gluconolactone works with sodium benzoate as an effective non-GMO additive. Gluconolactone slowly releases gluconic acid, which contributes to preservation.

Geogard Ultra™ has proven broad-spectrum activity, is approved by numerous global authorities (ECOCERT/COSMOS, NATRUE), and is specific in that it contributes to skin hydration. Research has shown that in the formulation it produced a moisturizing effect comparable to the use of 2% glycerin.

This raw material is backed by studies that prove its antimicrobial activity in various formulations, as well as its compatibility in most cationic, nonionic, and anionic systems.

Description: thick transparent liquid, COSMOS/ECOCERT,NATRUE, SOIL ASSOCIATION, HALAL
Method of use: water-soluble, suitable for use in the pH range 3 to 6, can be added at room temperature or at elevated temperatures. It is recommended to dissolve it in the aqueous phase or in a portion of water and/or glycerin before adding to the formulation. It is easily dispersed in glycols and alkyl sulfates.

  • Baby products: creams, lotions, butters, shampoos, wet wipes
  • Skin products: creams, lotions, serums, cleansing wipes, makeup remover, lipstick/lip gloss, eyeshadow, foundation, deodorant, antiperspirant, shampoo, hand soap, sunscreen
