OILKEMIA™ 5S is a high molecular weight polymer, non-ionic hydrophobically modified polyurethane. It provides density, stability and a pleasant, non-sticky feel on the skin through a variety of textures.

Recommended concentration: 1 – 6 %

Description: transparent granules

How to use: heat to 80 – 90 °C until the granules are completely dissolved. When adding temperature-sensitive components such as active ingredients, vitamins or ethanol, lower the temperature to 40 °C while stirring.

Application:

  • A polymer that allows for a high degree of densification
  • Effective at very low concentrations
  • Suitable for the oil phase of suntan emulsion as it improves the consistency, which then does not slide into the eye area and cause irritation.
  • Suitable for transparent body care gels or accelerated tanning
  • Compatible with most UV filters, leaves no white marks
  • Serums
  • Intensifies colors in decorative cosmetics
