Solubility:

  • High solubility in natural oils at 80–85 °C.
  • Good compatibility with vegetable oils such as jojoba, olive, almond and sunflower oils.
  • Poor solubility in polar oils and silicones.
  • Oliwax® creates a network in oils such as jojoba and sunflower, which increases stability and texture. Already at 1%, Oliwax® significantly increases the viscosity of W/U, U/W and V/Si emulsions and water gels. The increased viscosity is proportional to the amount of added Oliwax®.

Improving sensor properties:

  • During application, it increases the feeling of richness and speed of absorption.
  • After application, it increases the smoothness, adhesion and feeling of nourishment of the skin.

Application:

  • Skin care: Anti-aging, anti-acne, face masks, men’s care, body care, sun protection
  • Delicate skin care: Eye care, baby care, lip balms, after-sun products
  • Decorative cosmetics: Lipsticks, glosses, powders, correctors, mascaras, eye shadows
  • Hair care: Conditioners, hair masks, leave-on and rinse-off products

Can be used in: creams, lotions, anhydrous systems, ointments, butters.

Substitute for beeswax:

  • Oliwax® can replace beeswax in formulations at a 1:1 ratio.
  • The sensory profile (richness, absorbency, smoothness) is very similar to that of beeswax.
  • Applicable for emulsions and anhydride (waterless) formulas.
