Because of these properties, it is considered a more luxurious alternative to West African shea. It melts and spreads beautifully on the skin, making it a wonderful all-purpose product for the whole family, including young children.

Shea Nilotica has a higher proportion of olein than West African shea butter, which makes it less waxy and more suitable for facial application than West African shea.

Shea nilotica butter is rich in essential fatty acids (especially Omega-9) and vitamins A, E, F and K. It contains a high proportion of anti-inflammatory components and is especially recommended for dry and atopic skin.
