Zinc stearate is a zinc salt of vegetable fatty acids, primarily stearic acid. It is a white powder used as a consistency enhancer in emulsions and creams. It can be used in uv/u and o/v creams.

In addition to its positive effect on the texture of creams, zinc stearate has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, and also creates a protective film on the skin. This makes it ideally suited for skin protection creams and formulations intended for severely chapped and inflamed skin.

How it works: Zinc stearate is mixed into the oil phase and remains finely dispersed.
