Shea Olein / Karite ON

By separating the triglycerides of saturated acids from unsaturated ones through the winterization process, shea butter olein is created. It is a liquid oil with a higher oleic acid content and has a different INCI name than shea butter to distinguish it on the declaration of cosmetic ingredients in the product. Shea butter olein is absorbed through the skin faster than butter itself and does not have an occlusive role, so we will use the original butter for very dry skin and skin of atopic patients and we will use it in balms. We will use shea butter olein in formulations where we want to achieve the effects of cinnamic acid esters and other triterpenes (hair products, UV protection, regeneration) and we want the final formulation to be less occlusive and heavy.

Mango butter / Cold pressed / Refined

Mango butter contains approximately equal amounts of oleic and stearic acids. It has a similar fatty acid profile to shea butter, but has an average melting point of 5-10 °C higher. Therefore, it forms much firmer butters and balms than shea butter, and fewer waxes are needed in recipes. It is well absorbed into the skin and, like most butters, protects well against drying out.

It is known as a hair care butter. Its rich texture and easy spreadability make it a desirable addition to massage butters. Its good ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids also makes it a good raw material for the production of soaps with rich lather and a gentle effect on the skin, similar to palm oil.

It perfectly protects the skin from drying out, nourishes it and creates a protective film. It is suitable for the care of all skin types, especially dry and mature skin. It is used to treat sunburn, diaper rash, dermatitis, scars, wrinkles and stretch marks. In the cosmetic industry, it is most often used in lip and hand care products. It contains a large amount of so-called unsaponifiable substances (active substances dissolved in triglycerides), which are mostly composed of cinnamic acid esters. They are found in over 4% in cold-pressed and unrefined butter. These compounds absorb UV rays, so it is one of the basic ingredients of sun protection cosmetics, along with Chilean raspberry and Chilean hazelnut. The color varies from pale, light yellow to yellow and beige. The texture can be creamy or more granular. At room temperature, two phases can be separated - a solid and a liquid phase. For a creamy consistency, you need to warm the shea butter slightly and mix well.
