PatcH2O™ is an innovative active ingredient that works on the principle of long-lasting skin hydration. This raw material contains a powerful complex of hyaluronic acid, pullulan and sodium alginate. Applying a preparation containing PatcH2O™ begins to provide immediate and long-term skin hydration that can last up to 5 days. This raw material limits water loss for 48 hours after application and provides intensive hydration for 30 minutes after application, and for a maximum of 48 hours. The hydration step is extremely important in the skin care process because moisture is the sustainable source of youthful appearance and beautiful, well-groomed skin. The main goal of PatcH2O™ is to ensure an optimal level of hydration in the stratum corneum so that the skin retains maximum flexibility and softness, and this is achieved through an innovative dual expertise in natural macromolecules and controlled release technology of active ingredients. PatcH2O™ is a molecular network of natural biopolymers with a high concentration of a hydrating complex containing glycerin, serine, trehalose and urea, and provides optimal hydration by acting on two levels: on the skin's surface and deep in the stratum corneum where it is gradually released.

It is used to treat sunburn, diaper rash, dermatitis, scars, wrinkles and stretch marks. In the cosmetic industry, it is most often used in lip and hand care products. It contains a large amount of so-called unsaponifiable substances (active substances dissolved in triglycerides), which are mostly composed of cinnamic acid esters. They are found in over 4% in cold-pressed and unrefined butter. These compounds absorb UV rays, so it is one of the basic ingredients of sun protection cosmetics, along with Chilean raspberry and Chilean hazelnut. The color varies from pale, light yellow to yellow and beige. The texture can be creamy or more granular. At room temperature, two phases can be separated - a solid and a liquid phase. For a creamy consistency, you need to warm the shea butter slightly and mix well. Refining shea butter eliminates its characteristic odor for those who require a more neutral butter scent.
