Cera Carnauba / Vegetable wax

Carnauba wax is extracted from the leaves of a palm tree native to Brazil: Copernica Cerifera. This wax, with a high melting point and great film-forming power, is mainly used in the production of make-up. It is a particularly important ingredient in the formulation of lipsticks, where it increases heat resistance, hardness and durability. It can also be used to thicken balms or emulsions and increase their film-forming power.
