Description

ECTOinOIL® is a 100% natural and multifunctional bioactive ingredient.

• Improves skin elasticity (in vivo)
• Increases skin hydration (in vivo)
• Suitable for sensitive skin (in vivo)

This 100% natural and multipurpose bioactive ingredient can be used in a variety of cosmetic applications, including:

• facial and body skin care,
• anhydrous formulations (oil-based serums, body oils),
• decorative cosmetics (e.g. powders, mascaras, eyeshadows, compact powders),
• baby care,
• sun protection products.

ECTOinOIL® enables the formulation of clean, green, minimalist and sustainable products, and the ingredient itself is produced using sustainable biotechnological processes (biofermentation).

The combination of products that save water (reduce the “water footprint”) and sustainable production method makes ECTOinOIL® a real “green ingredient”.

• Ectoin® natural content: About 10% in ECTOinOIL® (example: 0.5% Ectoin® natural = 5% ECTOinOIL®)
• Stability: Stable up to 80 °C
• Storage conditions: Dry place at 15–25 °C, tightly closed

How to incorporate ECTOinOIL® into the formulation?

• Add to the base oil.
• Add surfactants (e.g. EMU 375 – Glyceryl Citrate/Lactate/Linoleate/Oleate).
• Add ECTOinOIL® drop by drop.

Guidelines:

• Recommended usage level: 1–5%
• It can be added directly to the oil phase below 80 °C in decorative cosmetics and lip care.
• For clear oil formulations, it is necessary to adjust the ratios of oil and surfactants.
• It is compatible with MCT oil, esters, vegetable oils and surfactants.
• If dimethicone is used, the product will not be completely clear.
