At first glance, skin and hair may seem completely different, but interestingly, they share the same main ingredient: keratin. Keratin Hydrolysate is an aqueous solution derived from sheep’s wool, making it an ideal ingredient for products that aim to achieve conditioning effects. Keratin is a structural protein that does not soften in hot or cold water and is not subject to proteolysis. However, keratin substances are sensitive in other ways – repeated exposure of skin and hair to soaps, chemicals, hard water and adverse weather conditions can cause dryness, which can lead to harmful effects such as roughness, flaking, a lifeless appearance and brittleness.

Chlorophyllin is a natural, environmentally friendly and sustainable bioactive ingredient obtained from the leaves of Ginkgo biloba. Traditionally, nutrients such as flavone glycosides and terpenoids are extracted from Ginkgo biloba leaves, while the remaining materials have been considered waste. By applying new techniques, it is now possible to efficiently extract chlorophyll from these residues and produce a valuable copper chlorophyllin complex, called chlorophyllin. INCI: Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex (CI 75810) Recommended concentration: in skin products 0.0001-10%, and in oral care products 0.0014%, and in hair styling products and other skin care products.
