Rejuvaveen is an essential beta-glucan complex from oats. By fighting the effects of cortisol on the skin, Rejuvaveen delays the first signs of skin aging. Rejuvaveen protects against stress-induced thinning of the skin and improves skin texture by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The skin is the body’s largest organ and first line of defense. Rejuvaveen contains a high concentration of beta-glucan from oats (about 30 g/100 g). Oat beta-glucan is a soluble fiber found in the cell walls of oat grains. Structurally, oat beta-glucans are linear polymers of glucose linked by β-1,3 (30%) and β-1,4 (70%) glycosidic bonds, which makes them highly soluble and with a high affinity for water. Beta-glucans play an important biological role in activating the immune system by binding to receptors on cells of the innate immune system, causing the immune cells to recognize the glucans as a ‘foreign’ cell.

Rejuvaveen is a unique active ingredient in powder form that is highly concentrated in oat beta-glucans and has a proven effect on skin biology and appearance. It protects the skin from oxidative damage and delays the first signs of skin aging. Oat beta-glucan was first investigated for its ability to revitalize the appearance of the skin. Researchers observed that oat beta-glucan reduced typical signs of skin aging in mature skin. A study conducted on 27 participants showed that after 56 days of treatment with topically applied oat beta-glucan, there was a significant reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Another study found that oat beta-glucan stimulates collagen biosynthesis in human dermal fibroblasts. This is due to the presence of glucan receptors on human dermal fibroblasts, suggesting that oat beta-glucan can directly stimulate collagen synthesis. The biological activity of oat beta-glucans is the result of their ability to bind to receptors on immune cells and thus modulate the immune response. The anti-inflammatory activity of beta-glucan is manifested through changes in the synthesis and secretion of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Beta-glucan from oats also exhibits antioxidant capacity.
