Characteristics

• Appearance: liquid, clear yellow solution
• 100% natural origin; COSMOS approved and compliant with other standards for natural cosmetics (for more information, contact us)
• Can be dispersed in water
• The formulations are stable at high pH values ​​from 7.5 to 11
• For stable clear solutions at pH 4.5 – 7, additional stabilization is required.
• Compatible with 5–30% ethanol (depending on stabilization system)

How to work with DEO® A30 – Production process (laboratory scale)

• For water and alcohol based products:
• Additional solubilizers are required, e.g. symbio®solv clear plus.
• It is necessary to add surfactants, glycols and/or other stabilizers.
• For better clarity: It is recommended to add 5-20% ethanol (the amount depends on the solubilizer selected).
• Stabilization at low pH: Add anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, chelating agents and ethanol (preferably in that order).
• Alternative option: Using Pentiol, you can work with a small amount of alcohol or even without it. This ingredient acts as a solvent and protects the formula from microorganisms.
• Buffer system: The composition of the mixture (arginine, citric acid) already contains a buffer, but it may be necessary to add acids for the final deodorant formulation.

Combination for a clear solution:

• 1–4% DEO® A30 + 3–7% solubilizer + 0.1–1% anionic surfactant + 5–20% alcohol

Procedure for clear formulations:

• First mix the stabilizer, solubilizer and DEO® A30.
• Add water and mix. You should get a clear solution.
• Add 7-10% glycol or ethanol, then adjust the pH. Turbidity of the solution may occur between pH 7 and 6.
