BOTANICAL SOURCES AND ACTIVE MOLECULES

1. Boar ( Ruscus aculeatus )

Veprovina or butcher’s broom is traditionally used for:

Main active molecule: Ruscogenin

Mechanism of action:

Hesperidin

Hesperidin is a bioflavonoid known for its effects on:

Mechanism of action:

• inhibits hyaluronidase

• protects collagen and elastin of blood vessels

• increases capillary resistance

• reduces capillary permeability
